So it’s not surprise that one of my favorite shows on tv is a little ditty by the name of Glee.

Dude, it TOTALLY brings me back to my high school show choir days. Yes, I was a total nerd…but it was SO much fun singing and dancing with my friends. But it’s such a clever and witty show…and the music is phenomenal.

I just picked up the season 1 soundtrack on iTunes…I already had picked up their cover of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing…but I think what sold me is their rendition of Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked.

Not to mention I TOTALLY have a crush on Lea Michele, the actress who plays Rachel Berry…the cute, perky, yet quasi-nerdy lead. But damn, she can sing. *sigh* :)

Some artists just soar acoustically…and Bethany Dillon is one of those artists. I love her voice. I love the way she strums her guitar. Raw and beautiful in it’s simplest form. She doesn’t need orchestras or extra tracks. Just put her on stage with a guitar and prepare to be amazed.

When I caught her in concert a couple years ago, it was an amazing experience to watch her perform.

So imagine my excitement when I saw this EP on iTunes.

I am enjoying it now. :)

I turn into a homebody when the rain starts to fall. I feel the need to get cozy under a blanket, stare out the window, and daydream a little. As much as I would love to find a cute girl and ask her to waltz in the middle of the rain and splash in puddles, I enjoy staying in. So today, other than a brief business meeting this morning, I spent the entire day inside, under a blanket, working on images from yesterday’s shoot with Theresa.

I’ll share those later…

But for now, I’ll share this…I was sitting here and had the itch to play my guitar. And I figured I’d play around with GarageBand and record a little something for someone who wanted me to sing for them. So I thought I’d share it with you. It’s a little crappy since 1) I recorded it just with the mic on my laptop and 2) I suck…but hey, it’s pretty enough.

Some of my favorite music to listen to when I’m just chillin’ is simple, accoustic tunes. Vocals and guitar…solo instruments such as a piano. Raw. Stripped. No frills.

This is why I LOVE Bethany Dillon. She is such a talented artist…so when I stumbled upon this video on YouTube, I thought I would share it.

I’ve seen her in concert and it’s really cool to see her jam…playing and singing…doesn’t get any more simple than that. Just her and a guitar. And it’s simply awesome.

I honestly didn’t realize it was gone. Did you?

In all seriousness…I hate (read: HATE) this song. Not only do they play it on the radio like all the time, but like, it’s soooo annoying…like my use of the word “like” and repetitive letters for emphasis.

Does anyone else hate this song? Thoughts? Opinions? Talk amongst yourselves. Comment. Far be it for me to rip on our pal J.T., but, “Dude, your song sucks.”

Why I is that Louis and Ella can almost always bring a smile to my face?

So I listen to the Cox digital music service once in a blue moon and I came across a young fellow who has a really great sound. His name: Jadon Lavik. His music is pretty good, so I gave a few other tunes a listen and I’ve decided that I have to actually go out and purchase some of his music. Check him out…

Now, I haven’t had a chance to give this a listen yet, but, the new Caedmon’s CD is out as of a couple weeks ago, I think. Knowing Caedmon’s Call, it has to be pretty good. It’s next on my list of tunes to investigate:
