The Revolt swimsuit issue went to print and should be out any day now…
But we are still working busily on the behind the scenes DVD. There were a few girls that we didn’t have enough footage of, so we’ve been shooting some b-roll and getting extra stuff with those lovely ladies.
One of these ladies was my GOOD friend, Kimberly. We shot her with the first group at The Pearl Hotel a couple of weeks ago…and we shot some more stuff yesterday at Windansea. I wasn’t planning on snapping any pictures…I actually assisted Kyle a little and shot a little with the second video camera…but then about halfway through the shoot, I busted out my Canon and snapped a few natural light shots. And I was pleasantly surprised. We got some great shots.
We also had a great shoot with Lara last night on the roof of a local hotel that over looks the city…and then today, we are shooting with Sarah and Emily. So busy, busy times…
So for the last week and a half, we have been shooting the Revolt In Style Magazine swimsuit issue, which is due out next week. We photographed seven BEAUTIFUL ladies in and around San Diego and had a blast. There were challenges getting everything together…but in the end, it all worked out…and the finished product should be amazing. :)
New this year, I brought in my buddy, Kyle, to shoot some behind the scenes and he’s putting together a DVD that we are planning on selling at the issue release party this Friday at Anthology. He just shot me over a brief clip…and I have to say, it’s pretty amazing. Shot in stunning High Def, Kyle and his second videographer, Billy, got some amazing footage of our amazing models.
I would be slacking if I also didn’t give a shout out to my buddy, Ennis, for being a second shooter on the project. I had a lot on my plate…and Ennis, as usual, was there to get the job done and get some amazing shots.
Last Thursday, we shot with my pal, Casie…and she was the last girl to be photographed as we went to print the following day. But Casie and I always have an amazing time shooting…and this time was no different.
I brought my Flip out to the shoot and shot some behind the scenes of the behind the scenes…really, it’s only a teaser compared to the stuff Kyle and Billy shot. But it’s fun…and Casie is so cute. :)
I met Natalie last year when I shot the Rancho Bernardo Hooters bikini contest. She was one of the top three finalists…and when I saw her, I KNEW I had to shoot with her.
I’m a patient man.
And so today, after about a year, we made it happen. :)
Let me just say that I am a lucky guy to have been fortunate enough to work with women as sweet and beautiful as Natalie is. My job is rough. :)
Ennis and I got a chance to shoot our good pal Lara as well, who is good friends with Natalie, over in Mission Valley tonight. Good good times…
We’re planning a beach shoot when the weather clears up…it’s been pretty crappy lately. :(
But I will leave you with some shots of Natalie’s foxiness…but for now, I’m heading to bed…
I have had several girls leave stuff in my room (no, not like that…get your minds out of the gutter…), but this random thing, although somewhat scandalous, was quite intentional…
So let me tell you about the guy that used to live in my apartment building and had his girlfriend’s panties hanging from the mirror of his truck…and then let me tell you how we made fun of him. :)
So Brian and I met for Chicken McNuggets yesterday…and we got to dish about a lot of things, including some business related to our company. One of the high points of our talk was our conversation about SEO, or Search Engine Optimization and making sure we can find our company web site on the internet. More importantly, we want to make sure others can find us on the web as well. After all, we won’t make money if people can’t find us or know we exist. :)
And then I found this very interesting little video for photographers and how important SEO is for their web sites and their business.
There are a lot of key points in that video that people don’t realize or understand…and a lot of misconceptions as to what makes a web site work to its full potential. Definitely interesting to check out.
So tonight, I had the honor of being one of the judges at the Oceanside Hooters bikini contest. Let me tell you…it was SO much fun!! And, probably one of the hardest jobs EVER.
First, imagine 30 SMOKING hot girls in tiny, hot bikinis strutting down the runway. As a judge, I have to stare, eyes following their every move…as a guy, my instinct is to look quickly, but not linger. It’s like looking at the sun…you want to admire the beauty, but if you look too long your eyes will explode. And that’s how I felt. But I think I did a good job. :)
My two favorite ladies, Emily and Elisabeth, were also judges…
So we had a blast. :)
And even though I’m a professional, I am man enough to admit that I am probably the world’s WORST iPhone photographer…contrary to my previous post.
But who cares. :)
Anyway, congratulations to all the ladies tonight…you looked amazing! ;)
So, I decided to start yet another random series of stupidity…and I’d like to call it Random Things in my Room.
Self explanatory.
It all started a couple weeks ago while I was cleaning…my eye caught a little blue bottle on my bookshelf, which prompted a couple questions…one of which being, “why?”
So I stumbled across the video on YouTube of a couple gogo dancers. And…
Wow.
It is absolutely terrible. Well, see for yourself…
Just because you have boots with the fur does not make you a gogo dancer.
But do not fear, my people…for there are awesome booty-shakin’ gogos…like my pal, Maya. No one shakes it quite like her. I could watch her for hours. :)
Or this one…
Speaking of which, we shot yesterday afternoon up in Laguna Beach…here are a couple of shots…
And the blue steel…
