Holy Hell…

Okay, so I am still awake (only God knows why…) and I just saw a promo on MTV for the new season of “A Double Shot at Love” with The Ikki Twins, Rikki and Vikki.

They totally used to work at Hooters in Mission Valley. Anyone remember them doing trivia and serving up wings?

I haven’t blogged about a commercial in a long time…but this has always been one of my favorites. Actually, most of the E-Trade baby commercials are pretty classic…but this one is hilarious.

Every year, Oprah has her list of favorite things…which is great and all…but if I were to start a top five list of my favorite things, it would go a little something like this…

1. Savanna Lloyd
2. Sunsets
3. Mac and cheese
4. Ice cream
5. Puppies

In that order.

This week was pretty awesome…everything is sort of a blur, but I got to spend some quality time with one of my favorite people in the world.

Savanna and I met this past March…she was in town doing a photo shoot for UCLA and I was in LA doing a casting call for a model/promo company. And when I found out she was going to be in LA at the same time I was going to be, I was TOTALLY excited to shoot with her.

Well, our time together was quick…but it was pretty much the greatest couple of hours ever. She’s pretty much amazing.

So, in the past seven months, we have been dreaming and scheming about how to get together again…and she finally said…”that’s it…I’m flying out there.”

So she did. :)

She got into town on Tuesday and we had the greatest two days ever. We hung out, I showed her the town, we acted like goof balls…and took a TON of new pictures. Some highlights included a perfect sunset shoot in La Jolla, Taco Tuesday with tiny thimble-sized Coronas, lounging on the couch watching The Office, sharing a Gus’s Philly Steak Sandwich, a moonlight walk on the beach in Coronado, sharing fried pickles and a chocolate mousse cake at Hooters, and of course, lots of smokin’ hot and sexy pictures. We both pretty much agree it sucks being 2,337 miles away from each other…we are working on making the distance between us as small as humanly possible.

Anyway, we will definitely be getting together again soon…I’m either going to go out there to visit or bring her back here…but until then, here are some visuals…

After shooting so much, we decided to just drive around…sort of reminiscent of our time in LA. :) So I showed her the city…and we took pictures at every stop light. Damn, we are foxy. ;)

Good times. :)

So, this morning, as I was getting ready for my awesome shoot with Sara, I thought I’d get a little work done…so I opened up the laptop and…

nothing happened.

Hmmm…

Maybe the battery died over night?

So, I plugged it in and tried to power it up.

Again, nothing.

So, I sat there in total shock and amazement. And terror. And annoyance. And then sadness. I went through about 7 different emotions in the span of 15 seconds.

Anywho, took it to the Apple Store and had them diagnose the problem. The computer is working…the hard drive is fine…it’s just the monitor that isn’t turning on. But, thy don’t think it’s the monitor…they think it’s the video card.

Anyway, those are useless details…long story short: I’m pretty much useless until I get my Mac back. No photo editing. No video editing. Limited internet on my iPhone and my MacMini (thank God!). But it’s going to be annoying until I get my machine back. It’s amazing how much we depend on our technology…I don’t know why I’m surprised…and it’s amazing how much it hurts when it’s the basis of our livelihood.

I seriously feel pretty useless. It’s not a good feeling. It’s like when I didn’t have a camera to shoot with. Sad, sad, sad…

So, I had dinner with Ennis, Crystal, and Zack at the Olive Garden and that cheered me up a little and took my mind off the fact that I can’t get any work done.

I also had a GREAT shoot with Sara. I, unfortunately, can’t post pictures…I would have had about a dozen shots done by now so that I could share…but not tonight, sadly. But we had a lot of fun. She’s got amazing ideas and is just so much fun to work with. We’ve got some other ideas cooking…great locations, wardrobe, and shoot concepts we are cooking up. It’s going to be fun. So definitely stay tuned.

And with that update, I will leave you.

If you happen to wonder why there is a lack of photos or whatnot, this is why. I’m hoping to be up in running in the next week or so. So….I guess I’m sort of on vacation now. :)
