I am writing to you from Palm Springs, California…where I am waiting for the beautiful Laura Baker to get out of makeup. We cruised out here this morning to work with a very talented makeup artist from Las Vegas who was in town working on a commercial project. We thought it would be a fun collaboration. I have to tell you, I’m sitting out by the pool and the scenery is to die for. I don’t really care for the desert all the much…but in the spring, things are so beautiful. The flowers are in full bloom, the birds are singing, the sky is a deep blue..and the hills are so green and…uh…bumpy. I don’t know…I don’t really have a flair for descriptiions…which is probably why I’m a photographer and not a writer. But either way, we are going to have fun today…I know it…although, it didn’t start out that way. Woke up this morning with a funky stomach pain…then top that off with a speeding ticket while driving up the 15…not a great way to start the day…but things are looking a bit better. I think it will be good once I start taking pictures. :)
Time to get caught up again on these things…a couple weeks ago, I cruised up to LA to help out with a casting call that Essence was running for a client of ours, so we headed out in the morning and I decided to make a day of it…
After the casting, I drove out to LAX where I was smitten by a southern hottie. Her name is Savanna (appropriate, huh? :) ) and she was in town from Jacksonville, FL, shooting for a UCLA publication of some sort. Of course, she’s a hottie…but we spent most of the time in traffic and being harassed by rent-a-cops downtown. We definitely bonded…and I think we hit it off because we are so damn similar. But yeah…she was definitely cool…and now I’m plotting ways to get my butt to Florida or get her to San Diego because I definitely want to shoot with her again. Here are the few frames we were able to get, despite the time constraints and the wind…
After dropping her off at the airport and sending her home, which was definitely a sad goodbye even though we had only met two hours earlier…I drove out to Malibu to meet two other hotties for a sunset shoot. Athena and Jessi are a couple of the hottest California girls you’ll ever meet…and the weather was starting to turn for the worse, so they were troopers in the cold weather. The wind was pretty strong, so it was blowing my softbox all over the place…not to mention their hair…but we managed to get some super cute and super hot shots before the sun (and rain) came down. Afterwards, we headed up PCH to Duke’s for dinner and then I took my time heading back to San Diego in the rain. All in all, it was a fun-filled day of shooting. Here are some samples…
Anyway, I am looking at Laura through the window, so I am going to see how her and Tracy (our MUA) are doing. I’m ready to take some pictures. :) More later…

Congrats Aaron! Nice work.
