A few weeks ago, the boys of Essence Digital and I shot a charity fashion show at the Keating Hotel downtown, hosted by the lovely ladies of Simple Glam Girls. It was a pretty decent turn out and a fun show.

I was shooting video…so here is my product from the evening. Check it out.

Check out Part Two also. :)

    How to fold a reflector

It’s just like folding an auto sunshade…but yet, still a mystery.

My grandpa gave up folding his and just threw it in the backseat. :)

But this just goes to prove once again…how adorable Laura Baker is. And I love how the reflector is almost as big as her.

    In the spirit

It’s funny how you never get tired of spending time with special people…and I just can’t get enough of Laura Baker. :)

We got together one last time before Christmas to shoot some Christmasy stuff as well as some other fun stuff too. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love that girl…but dammit, she is one cool chick. I’m not going to lie.

Always good times. And it’s only been a day, but I think I’m going through Laura withdrawls. :)

More pictures of me and Laura’s shoot here.

On Monday night, I got to shoot with some really lovely ladies from La-La land. They made the drive to shoot with me…and I’m really glad they did since I’ve been wanting to shoot with Leah for a long time now. But here are some shots of Leah and Meredith and our late-night shoot…

More of Meredith and Leah here.

All in all, it’s been a long, but good week. More stuff coming up.

On a personal note, it just doesn’t seem to feel like Christmas. Perhaps that’s one reason why I haven’t been in a spirity mood. I’m not sure why that is, but maybe I’ll get there in the next five days. We’ll see. :)

    Night on the town

I am thoroughly exhausted. I woke up at the crack of dawn and headed up to Los Angeles for an editorial photo shoot with my first commercial client. We snapped some photos of a couple big dogs at a large title insurance company for some of their promotional materials and website. It was definitely a lot of fun, but a lot of work. Hopefully will have some images/tears up on my portfolio soon. Afterwards, we cruised around LA before heading back to San Diego. Needless to say, I’m a little tired.

And yesterday was pretty much one of the best days ever. It was a little chilly…but I got to spend it with one of my favorite people….Laura Baker. We have a lot of plans in the works, so we have been hanging and shooting a lot more often. *evil grin* But we spent the afternoon shooting around downtown and then in the evening, she put on her smoking hot little black dress and we walked around the Gaslamp and snapped some beautiful black and whites. San Diego is a beautiful city…I’m not gonna lie…but Laura makes it look a little more beautiful. I was pleased with the shots we got…I got inspired last week while at the Couture for a Cause fashion show and wanted to capture some cool black and whites in the evening light with our beautiful city in the background…and we did exactly what I had envisioned. We had an awesome time creating. Afterwards, we ended up at Victoria’s Secret…not sure why our shoots always end with some sort of shopping excursion, but I definitely don’t mind. We always get inspired and end up buying more stuff for future shoots…and we got some really cute ideas for the next shoot, which will be soon. So stay tuned!!

Well, I do have some work to get done…this is a very, very busy week for me…but I will leave you with these shots of Laura…night!

    All locked up

So I am way behind on updates from photo shoots. I have been working on projects and miscellaneous other crap that I haven’t had time to share.

Tonight (last night, actually)…I had an awesome photo shoot with the luscious Tasia. She’s definitely a kick-ass cool chick and we had a lot of fun playing and creating. I won’t over talk the pictures…I will let them speak for themselves…

    More here.

And now that it’s 5 am, I think I’m going to finally get to sleep now. Good night! (morning)

    Rainy days and Fridays

It’s been a whirlwind these last couple of days…

I haven’t done much shooting this week, but I’ve been doing a lot of editing and getting stuff ready for clients. I finished up one wedding and I’m starting work on another.

Wednesday, the Essence crew went down to the Keating Hotel in downtown San Diego and shot a charity fashion show for Simple Glam Girls. Got some great video, which I should be posting very soon. And I know the boys got some really great shots of girls too.

Also making preparations for the wedding and bachelor party next week Should definitely be a good time It’s hard to believe that my best friend is going to be a married man in two weeks. Dude, what are you thinking? There’s time to back out. :) j.k.

Anyway back to work in go. Got some things that need to get done before the photo shoot this evening. Hope every one has a excellent Friday!

    Stop killing the trees!

So seriously, people. I don’t want your loan. Or your credit card. Your new phone (unless you’re giving it to me for free…and it’s an iPhone. :) )

I don’t need health insurance (well, actually I do…but again, only if you’re willing to give it to me for free…)

    crap.jpg

Stop the madness!! This is the crap that I’m going through right now…and I can hear the other trees weeping.

The rain rain rain came down down down…

For some reason, there’s something special about weather. You know, when the rain is coming down outside, there’s something calming and comfortable about being inside.

Today was a pretty nice day to relax. I woke up early and met some of my former colleagues for breakfast down in Chula Vista. It was really great to see them and catch up a little bit. I hadn’t seen them since our last day at the office. Good times.

After breakfast, i tried attacking some computer problems a friend was having, but I had no luck. I went home and fell asleep. The rain will do that you.

Tonight, I hit up Hooters with Brian and visited a little bit with my new favorite Hooter girl , Kimberly. It was kind of strange, yet kind of cool to see her in the infamous shorts (which I must say, look pretty darn good on her). I also indulged in a piece of chocolate mousse cake. Highly recommended.

And now, I’m sitting here listening to the sound of rain outside my window. And that’s all have to say about that.
