Well, it’s been a few. Work, as always, is a downer and kicking my butt…and to make matters worse, I’ve been sort of sick the last several days with some mysterious sore throaty-ness. Some seriously painful stuff. This wasn’t day-after-the-football-game sort of sore. This was like I can’t eat, sleep, or drink because it hurts to much. It might have been strep, but who knows…the doctor never called me. They shoved the giant q-tip down my throat…but I guess they didn’t find anything. Anyway, after several days of intense pain, I’m starting to feel a little better. I’m able to eat, so that’s a positive thing.

Low key weekend…although yesterday, I spent the majority of the day shooting a wedding. I honestly was sort of dreading it since I was feeling lousy…but after 8+ hours of shooting in the sun and a splitting headache, I had a renewed spirit and could have gone another 8 hours. Well, not really…but I felt pretty good at the end of the day. It just goes to show that when you do something you really enjoy, it doesn’t really matter how crappy you feel…it makes you feel good anyway.

It was a beautiful wedding and a beautiful couple. The wedding was on the beach in Coronado and the reception was a fun, festive gathering with loved ones. Definitely a good time and a great party. Here are a couple shots…

At the end of the day, during all the dancing and after the sun went down, we noticed a killer-cool moon over looking the city. The bride challenged me to shoot them in front of the beautiful background. I wasn’t sure if I could do it…but I met the challenge…

It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. :)

Anyway, should be a good week. Got some things going on for the 4th and a nice weekend to look forward to. Hope the non-fun things go by quickly.

Gotta get to sleep. Monday is here.

PS And let me also just say that for someone who still owns and uses a 2 megapixel Kodak Easyshare digital camera…my business partner did quite an awesome job as a second shooter at the wedding. Just gave him a dSLR and let him have at it. Dude, I’d shoot with you any day.
