I am finally getting around to posting some of the clips from our Hawaii trip last year. Here is the first of antics on the way to the islands…

Brian and I notice a hot girl with writing on her pants. And we enjoy the view. But not before getting getting ripped off. Airport food is sooo overpriced, we were thinking about opening our own little shack and selling food. We would make a killing.

After breakfast, we sit in the terminal for what seems to be forever to hop the plane to Honolulu…we contemplate going to Vegas instead, but decide that Hawaii is much better.

I always like getting behind the scenes shots at photo shoots. I try to keep my shoots fun and we always get some funny outtakes. It’s hard to get good BTS shots without my faithful friend and assistant, Brian…but when I do, I always like posting them. Considering that it was so cold and a [...]

I always like getting behind the scenes shots at photo shoots. I try to keep my shoots fun and we always get some funny outtakes. It’s hard to get good BTS shots without my faithful friend and assistant, Brian…but when I do, I always like posting them. Considering that it was so cold and a great photo adventure, I thought I would post some behind the scenes shots from our shoot yesterday with Ashley.

Check it out.

I seriously love watching Monk. I thought this little promo that USA put together was worthy of sharing.

So yes, friends…it is official. It did snow this morning. And I was standing in the middle of it…wearing shorts and a t-shirt…taking pictures of a girl in a bikini. Well, my good-weather-for-photo-shoots streak is officially over. But man, what a way to end it! :)

I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn and headed back home to Ramona this morning to photograph Ashley…this amazing and gorgeous girl from my hometown. It just so happens we were both in the same choir in high school (not together, sadly). And she is one crazy girl…but one of the coolest models I’ve worked with. Literally. Not everyone would be excited for a 7am photoshoot…but even more than that, not everyone would be excited to put on a teeny bikini in 31 degree weather. Yeah…a bit chilly. I think we even saw a few little snow flakes at one point. It was definitely one of the craziest shoots I have ever done…but definitely one of the most fun. We will be shooting again soon…but hopefully the weather will be a tad warmer.

After regaining feeling in my fingers, I thought I would share some pictures from the shoot…

Isn’t she beautiful? :) For more, check out the Picasa Gallery.

So, my good friend, the magnificent, noble, dignitary Brian Mounts has started posting our old videos on his YouTube account. I seriously forgot how funny these were. Check them out. I will leave you with this one, a tribute to my friend. And check out his new blog too while you’re at it.

…the weekend is here. It couldn’t have come any sooner. Hallelujah! I’m sitting in traffic now, but even that’s better than sitting in my cubicle. Never thought I would live to hear myself say I love traffic…but it is a truly beautiful thing.

Looking forward to photographing several cuties this weekend and sitting on my butt while NOT thinking about work. And who knows, maybe I’ll watch a little football too.

Go Chargers!

Okay, merging now…bye!

So my friend, Chantelle, posted this little ditty on MySpace and I thought I would repost it here for all you people. Fellow San Diegans will relate to just about everything on the list…and those not from S.D. will just be shaking your heads in confusion. We can’t all be cool and live in America’s [...]

Today was one of the worst days I’ve had in a while. It was the kind of day that puts things in perspective and makes you realize why people drink.

You know it’s going to be a bad day when you have nightmares about the day before it even begins. Aside from having high school flashbacks from choir days, my dreams mostly included stressing out about work-related stuff. Dude, work should not be stressful. You shouldn’t not look forward to getting out of bed to start your day. Everything that could go wrong…did. And by five, I was a puddle of uselessness.

I thought about my photo shoots this weekend. I thought about my family and friends. I realized that if it weren’t for my camera or the people in my life to keep me grounded and sane, I wouldn’t stand a chance. I’m truly fortunate.

And yet tomorrow, I get to do it all over again.

But before I sign off, I will write a short tribute to a little crush I’ve had for a while. She’s cute, fun, and oozing with sweetness you can’t help but get a cavity.

Now, some people hate the show. Some people love it. Whatever side you are on, you can’t help but fall in love with the sweetness that is Kat Foster. Kat plays “Steph Woodcock” on the Fox sitcom ‘Til Death. She’s the adorable, sometimes naive newlywed married to American Pie’s Eddie Kay Thomas (aka Finch). According to her IMDB page, she’s held many jobs…including a bartendar, a cocktail waitress at a strip club (oooh-la-la!), and a mover. There’s no doubts that she’s cute. And apparently she’s a pretty darn good actress. So, there you go.

So I’ve been MIA for several days, but rest assured, I am okay. I came down with a really bad head cold this weekend and was pretty much useless as heck. Probably even more useless. Aside from the extreme pain in my head, my eyes feeling like they were bugging out of my head, my raw, runny nose, and the fact I couldn’t taste anything I ate, things weren’t that bad. Oh, let’s not forget the extreme fatigue as well…this was extremely evident on Sunday afternoon…a gorgeous afternoon spent taking pictures with a gorgeous model. I was surprised, but I actually lasted for the entire 3-hour photo shoot, which was longer than I expected.

I photographed Lauren, another extremely cool, and beautiful, model. She is experienced and a very determined model, so it was great having her in front of my camera and collaborating with her coming up with ideas and such. Also, being anti-flash, I ran into some tricky lighting situations, so I had to resort to using artificial lighting…and I was strangely surprised. These pictures utlized flash…doesn’t look like it, does it?

Anyway, good times…I’ll be uploading more to my Picasa Gallery as I go.

So, anyway, most of you probably noticed that the blog isn’t where you left it. I’ve been making my usual changes around the web site since I have the tendancy to get bored very easily. I decided, in an attempt to bring my photography center-stage and make my web site more business-like and friendly, to move the blog to the background a little and add my full portfolio to the site. Enjoy the pictures…I update with every shoot…and I will be busy the next few months with more and more shoots.

And in closing, if you read my last post, congratulations again to Mr. Padre…it couldn’t have happened to a better, and a nicer, guy. Way to go, T!
