With Christmas just around the corner, the festivities are definitely in full force. I had an extremely cool, but exhausting, Saturday. I had a shoot this afternoon with Nicole, who I have shot with before and who is extremely beautiful. We did a Christmas theme and had some good results. It was my first time shooting in the evening at Doug’s with hot lights…and I realized that I don’t really enjoy studio photography as much with artificial light. I’m sure that maybe if I had a few strobes that I might get the hang of it…but there is something so simple and warm about natural lighting that I can’t seem to not favor the location shooting. And it’s not just because I’m poor and can’t afford good monolights…it’s just that outdoor photography or even indoor photography with natural light is just so much better. I don’t know…that’s just my opinion. And with that, on to the pics:
I also had a shoot with a friend of Heather, who I shot a few weeks ago at Windansea. Heather is amazingly cool…and so is her friend, Liz, who was shooting photos for a Christmas present. Because of that, I can’t post any here until she gives the present to the lucky guy…so you will just have to wait in suspense. But all three girls are awesome and it was cool to just spend the afternoon with three gorgeous, and fun girls.
After the shoots, we cleaned up Doug’s place and then headed back home in the rain to our Christmas party, which was already in progress. It was good to see old friends and new ones. Everyone made merry until about 2 in the morning, so now it’s time for me to hit the hay. I have a pretty long day set up for tomorrow as well. Ugh! :)
