Maria

Filed under: Commercials, Crushes — Aaron @ 2:09 am

Well, I’m in love…which leads me to my latest crush. As a matter of fact, my latest crush is featured in this commercial (which, incidentally, I have seen about a hundred times now as I sit here watching my THIRD episode of CSI: Miami):

In case you are wondering, I’m not talking about Maria Sharapova. Although she is the second ranked female tennis player in the world…and 6 feet, 2 inches of Russian hotness, I am talking about the camera.

A few months ago, I accidently broke the LCD screen of my Canon powershot and now I’m looking to upgrade to the 630. You might be thinking, “does he REALLY need another camera?!” It’s just nice to have a little something something that slips in my pocket. Anyway, I dig the camera. And the girl. Any chance they come together?

Snoozer

Filed under: General — Aaron @ 1:57 pm

So those of you who have slept with me know that I’m a snoozer. I’m notorious for snoozing at least 5 times each morning…at least. Sometimes more. So to my future wife: I apologize, Honey, in advance. I may not snore, steal the covers, or push you away when you want to cuddle…but I WILL snooze.

So I came across this on Andrew Osenga’s web site and thought it would the perfect thing for someone like me. I’d also need a gun so that when it goes off, I can silence it from the comfort of my bed. :)

The powers that be bought us lunch today — Taste of Italy — for being the last day of the month and making goal and all. I still have a handful of cancels to take off plus a few files to process, but I think we are going to end the year on a positive note. And any day with pizza and spaghetti is a good day in my book.

I’m also hatching some cool things for the new year. My 2007 is already looking good with photo shoots with crazy beautiful models being booked fast. My February, I will be working on my 2008 calendar project with Megan, a joint NGS Media/Lucent Photography of Sacramento gig, so that should be fun. I’m also thinking about some changes to this web site and blog to incorporate more of my photography…so stay tuned for that.

Other than that, it’s been a relatively good Friday. Beautiful weather and sunshine just add to the mix as well. I think I’m going to crank a little Jimmy Eat World and continue the grind until 5. Those are my random thoughts for the day. Hope you all are enjoying your last Friday of 2006!

Ridiculously cool

Filed under: Photo Shoots — Aaron @ 11:58 am

So I have been given the green light to post these. Last week, I participated in a top secret op which involved photographing a ridiculously good looking girl. She wanted to give her boyfriend some sexy photos for Christmas. Lucky guy. I can only say this: mission accomplished.

Very funny

If you love commercials like I do, then I think you might enjoy the World’s Funniest Commercials tomorrow night at 9/8c on TBS.

And if you dig that, you should also check out veryfunnyads.com, brought to us by those fine people at TBS.

And I think I’m going to sleep now because if I have to sit through another stupid Girls Gone Wild commercial, I think I might have to throw the TV out the window.

Waiting

Filed under: General — Aaron @ 1:48 pm

I’m at lunch right now and I was wondering…have you ever been in a place where there are obviously many people walking and wandering about like busy Oompa Loompas, but yet no one seems to be doing anything?

Well, I’m in that place right now. And the most annoying kid is standing behind me.

Merry Christmas

Filed under: General — Aaron @ 4:33 pm

It almost doesn’t feel like it should be Christmas. Yesterday was so hot, I felt like I should have been on the beach…but that’s San Diego for you. Driving around yesterday, the freeways and roads were empty…but the parking lots at the local stores and malls were overflowing.

I got to sleep this morning at about 3:30. I was so excited about Santa coming, I couldn’t get to sleep. But I finally woke up at 9:30am since the first of the Christmas text messages started rolling in. So far, I am counting just under a dozen, from new friends and old. I have amazing friends. :)

And now, after a hearty lunch with relatives, I’m going to continue chilling with my brother and enjoy the Christmas festivities.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day today…and a very Merry Christmas! I love you all!

Dream girl

Filed under: General — Aaron @ 8:39 pm

I came across this little contest on the FOX sports web site and thought I would share it with you all. Unfortunately, none of my ACTUAL Hooters dream girls are in it, so I was had to vote for the cutest girl on the web site.

Throw your 2 cents in and check out the site.

Holes

Filed under: General — Aaron @ 6:44 pm

Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to be “sick.” Today was a pretty crappy work day. It wasn’t anything in particular, it was just everyone wanted something at pretty much the same time and expected you to do it right when they asked you. One guy was pretty much a jerk…I felt like driving over to his branch and pretty much just kicking his ass. At least the other pushy people were nice about it. :)

And now, it’s the home stretch till Christmas. I just got home and I got the jammy pants on and I’m ready to do some vegging and some editing. I got the place to myself right now, so that’s nice.

After work, I met up with Liz for just a few seconds to give her the CD from our shoot the other day. I think I may have mentioned her…she’s absolutely gorgeous! We re-shot her the “other day,” with Heather as the helper, and the pics came out amazing. We were both on our game. Once she gives the pics to her dude (they were taken as a Christmas present for him…) I will post some up on here. But anyway, I saw Liz for a second and finally was able to get some holes at Krispy Kreme, so I think I’m going to indulge while watching a little tv. You’re probably thinking I’m weird…but I’m an adult. I can eat donuts for dinner if I want. So there.

More girls in underwear

In case you missed the highly entertaining Victoria’s Secret fashion show last night on the CW…don’t worry. Here are some visuals from the event. Oh, and Justin Timberlake was in rare form.

Christmastime is here…

Filed under: Photo Shoots — Aaron @ 5:17 am

With Christmas just around the corner, the festivities are definitely in full force. I had an extremely cool, but exhausting, Saturday. I had a shoot this afternoon with Nicole, who I have shot with before and who is extremely beautiful. We did a Christmas theme and had some good results. It was my first time shooting in the evening at Doug’s with hot lights…and I realized that I don’t really enjoy studio photography as much with artificial light. I’m sure that maybe if I had a few strobes that I might get the hang of it…but there is something so simple and warm about natural lighting that I can’t seem to not favor the location shooting. And it’s not just because I’m poor and can’t afford good monolights…it’s just that outdoor photography or even indoor photography with natural light is just so much better. I don’t know…that’s just my opinion. And with that, on to the pics:

I also had a shoot with a friend of Heather, who I shot a few weeks ago at Windansea. Heather is amazingly cool…and so is her friend, Liz, who was shooting photos for a Christmas present. Because of that, I can’t post any here until she gives the present to the lucky guy…so you will just have to wait in suspense. But all three girls are awesome and it was cool to just spend the afternoon with three gorgeous, and fun girls.

After the shoots, we cleaned up Doug’s place and then headed back home in the rain to our Christmas party, which was already in progress. It was good to see old friends and new ones. Everyone made merry until about 2 in the morning, so now it’s time for me to hit the hay. I have a pretty long day set up for tomorrow as well. Ugh! :)

Inside the shoot

Filed under: Random — Aaron @ 8:06 pm

All of the models I’ve worked with can say this about me: I’m a goofy guy. They can also say that I’ve taken some amazing pictures of them…but that’s another story. :)

Now, I can laugh at myself…and I do just that in this little video. A few months ago, Brian, Flor, Janelle, and I were at the beach in Coronado. When someon busted out a camera, Brian did this amazing impression of me at photo shoots. And he would know since he has assisted me in numerous shoots. Now, it is an exaggeration…but definitely accurate. :)

Watch the video.

Hot dang!

So my jaw dropped to the floor when I walked in and saw this month’s Maxim on my dining room table. Holy cheese. Lacey Chabert is definitely all grown up now.

She was definitely a crush from the good ‘ole Party of Five days. And now…wow.

Enough said.

It’s all relative

Filed under: Crushes — Aaron @ 11:40 pm

KieleSo there was this show the WB a while back called Related. It was mostly a chick show…but I admit, I watched it for a few weeks. There were a few laughs, being that it was created by the same people that brought us Friends…but it just lacked that spark, that special something, that je ne sais quoi.

One of the hottest girls on television was on that show. She was a mix of sexy and adorable all rolled into one. She had this Latin hotness about her…a hotness that could only be counteracted by overwhelming machismo…the very machismo that I, myself, possess. The girl’s name was Kiele Sanchez.

I think you will be happy to know that her name is still Kiele Sanchez. And for those of you into the whole Lost phenomenon, you can see her Wednesday nights as Nikki.

Anyway, for more hot and not-so-hot photos, check out her Stuff photo shoot.

Sunny days

Filed under: Photo Shoots — Aaron @ 11:58 pm

I gotta tell you, it’s really difficult spending the afternoon with a gorgeous girl. It’s even tougher when that girl is totally cool. But someone has to do it, and it might as well be me, right?

Today, I photographed Tasia, this really, really ridiculously good looking girl. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s fun too. We had a blast snapping photos all over Balboa Park. I was jazzed too because the weather was so gorgeous. I had a few minor lighting issues, but her friend was there to help out. And hey, a few lighting issues is better than having it rain and not being able to shoot at all. I’m knocking on my desk right now as we speak when I tell you that I always get lucky with the weather. :) And as we speak, the rain is coming down outside.

Anyway, here are some samples from the shoot. More can be seen in my Picasa Gallery.

It was a couple of weeks ago when we picked up our tree and decked it out. Now, two weeks later, my car is STILL full of pine needles and sand (from the photo shoot earlier that day)…and our tree still looks gorgeous.
