Well, maybe it’s a little funny.
I have had a pretty decent few days…lack of sleep is really the only downside.
Saturday, Brian and I shot a wedding over at the Bali Hai for some friends of his, Sage and Steve. It was a really beautiful wedding with a picturesque backdrop overlooking downtown and Shelter Island. The reception was really nice too, except that no one was dancing…except for maybe the bride and some of her bridesmaids. One in particular was REALLY cute (not at liberty to say which one)…but I will say she was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, with a smile that could light up a room.
Unfortunately, we are filming her wedding in four weeks. :(
Our friend, Janelle from Sac, is in town. We picked her up at the train station Saturday evening and then along with the lovely Flor, we hit up Hooters for some wings and good times. After dinner, we tried heading to downtown, but it was so crazy that we decided just to head home and hit the hot tub up.
On Sunday, I played tour guide and showed off our beautiful city. We started with a tour of Point Loma and PLNU, then headed out to The Point and I showed off the lighthouse and Cabrillo Monument, then lunch at Gus’s. I love that place. It’s all about the toasted buns. And the crushed ice.
After picking up Brian and Flor, we headed out to Coronado to check out The Del and the beach and watch the sunset. We cruised Silver Strand and then back home for movies. We ended up watching the first Hawaii tape that Brian and I shot…I forgot, but those were definitely good times. And dude, we’re freakin’ funny.
I didn’t get to bed until about 3 because I ended up editing video late at night, so yesterday I was dragging a little. But I got off work yesterday early and took Janelle out to OB to watch the sunset. We took some pictures and then headed back to La Mesa for burgers at Fuddruckers. We literally rolled out of the restaurant because walking at this point was not possible. After buying some random accoutrements at WalMart, we went back and watched a movie. We both ended up passing out on the couches and I eventually went to bed after midnight. Good thing too, because we woke up at the crack of dawn to get Janelle to the airport. It should be illegal to have to wake up before the sun is up. I am so effing tired. The day is half over, though…but it’s sad that Janelle is gone. :(
Well, I have to get back to the office. More later, folks.
