I don’t know if any of you ever do this, but I like cruisin’. San Diego is such a beautiful place; and on weekends like this, it’s just fun to drive around to places you never really go. So that’s what I did. I drove around parts of old-school, ghetto San Diego that I usually never travel to.
Let me just say that I didn’t intend on driving around this morning…but I sort of got lost a bit. Not so much lost as “turned around.” But it was all good. I got to see a lot of the city I usually never get to see…some really old ethnically and culturally diverse places. Reminds me how big a place this is…and how really cool this city really is.
I spent a lot of my weekend all over the place…it’s really sort of a blur…
Despite the rain, I headed out to PB with Brian and schmoozed with some really cool people; model types and magazine people. My friend, Anjeanette, heads up sales and talent for a modeling and talent agency here in San Diego and so we met her and Paul, her company’s CEO (who happens to be a really cool guy), and several of their models at the Isola Lounge. It was a good time chatting, drinking, and getting to know people.
Afterwards, I met up with Keri C. for a late dinner and conversation which was pretty fun too…I don’t get to see that girl very often, and it’s nice when I do.
Saturday was a marathon. We went out to Presidio Park early and met up with Anjeanette and three of her models for a photo shoot. This was the first of hopefully many more shoots I will be doing with her company, Heartbreakers, Inc…and I was very pleased with the results. The photos were great, the models were amazing, and the backdrop and weather couldn’t have been more perfect (especially with the rain the night before). It was a great experience working with these really talented models…definitely good times.
Brian and I had a meeting with a client in the afternoon and we are getting excited and geared up for the wedding season that is rapidly approaching. I am thinking of adding wedding photography to our list of wedding videography services. I am really enjoying the still photography that I have been doing with models and portfolio work that I think it would be cool to add this new service.
After a meaty lunch at Gus’s (I love that place…), we had a shoot with our friend, Michele. These pictures blew me away. Now, I’m just pushing the button, so I don’t really have that much to do with how good these pics are…but dammit, they are good. It was all Michele. :) The pictures were fun and flirty and gorgeous.
I just about collapsed into bed last night, but it’s definitely been a fun weekend. I need to get back to work now…but I’m sure I’ll write more later. Night!
