I just saw the trailer for the upcoming movie, Dreamer. And who’s voice was that I heard in the background? None other than Bethany Dillon. Dreamer is the first track on Beth’s latest, Imagination, and it is going to be featured in this new movie.

A few weeks ago, I was really excited when I read this article at Grassroots Music:

DILLON RECORDS MUSIC VIDEO

Sparrow Records’ artist Bethany Dillon recently traveled to Los Angeles to film a music video for her upcoming single, “Dreamer,” which will be the end credit song in the October 21 DreamWorks motion picture, Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story. Dillon was directed during the video shoot by Brandon Dickerson, whose directorial credits include music videos for Switchfoot and Sixpence None The Richer. The “Dreamerâ€? video will be serviced later this week to VH-1, CMT and MTV, among other major mainstream and Christian outlets.

Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story stars Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Kris Kristofferson and Elisabeth Shue in a heartwarming tale of a horse trainer (Russell) and his daughter (Fanning) who nurse an injured horse back to health and, together, strive to achieve a dream against all odds (www.dreamworks.com/dreamer). As the end credit song, the Dillon and Ed Cash-penned “Dreamer” is inspired by a story Fanning’s character writes of a king who gave up everything for his kingdom.

“Dreamer,” which is also featured on Dillon’s recent sophomore release, Imagination, is being serviced to mainstream Hot AC and Triple-A radio formats. In support of Imagination, Dillon is part of Jeremy Camp’s 40-city “Restored Tour” (www.restoredtour.com) which kicked-off last week in Minneapolis. The Tour will hit Las Vegas; Phoenix; Sacramento, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Birmingham, Alabama; Hampton, Virginia; and Colorado Springs, Colorado, among other markets, before concluding in November.

In addition, Dillon is a featured artist on Music Inspired By: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (EMI CMG), which releases later this month in conjunction with the December Walt Disney Pictures/Walden Media film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (www.narnia.com). Selections by Dillon will also be included on the upcoming WOW Christmas {Green} and WOW Hits 2006 releases.

Not only is this amazing for her, but it’s great to see the line between Christian Contemporary and mainstream so blurred. Bethany is an amazing artist…and I truly hope that more people will be able to realize this and be touched by her music.

I’m really digging this whole “working in Mission Valley” thing. First of all, I’m right down the street from CostCo, which means wholesale products, cute girls, and of course hot dogs and pizza. I’m really digging this whole “working in Mission Valley” thing. First of all, I’m right down the street from CostCo, which means wholesale products, cute girls, and of course hot dogs and pizza. Seriously, I had a slice of pepperoni, a polish sausage, AND a beverage all for 3 bucks and change. Even Rachael Ray knows you can’t beat that!

And now, I’m just lounging at the public library utilizing their free wireless internet (yes, I said free), because 1) I’m a cheapskate and 2) they block all the fun sites at “The W.” So here I am.

There are some downsides to this whole library thing. First of all, there are lots of book, which of course I want to read. And second, a little old man just walked in and let out the biggest fart known to man. Luckilly he was far enough away to not have to evacuate the building…but had I been any closer, all that would have been left was a big mushroom cloud of Aaron.
