So, today is been a totally random, exciting, and wonderful day. I think everyone involved would agree…and there were lots involved. Where do I begin?
Well, where we left off, Megs and I were heading out to run some errands: get gas, deposit paycheck (at WaMu, no less!), and go grocery shopping. We got fixings for spaghetti (because Megs knows the way to my heart is through my stomach) and some other food-like essentials. We then returned home, of course not before almost dumping all of the apples out of my car. Megan and I had to perform a nearly-scandalous acrobatic feat to get the apples back into their cute little paper bag. But we accomplished the impossible and got all the groceries in the house safe and sound. After putting away the goods, we chilled until über-cool roommates arose from their comas. I am definitely not understating the coolness factor, either.
Let’s start with Rebecca, who was the first roommate I met. She and her beau, Matt, wanted pictures taken together, so they were the first people on the agenda to shoot later in the day. We talked a bit and I showed her some of my photos. We got to talking and Megan got really excited about this vintage dress she had purchased at a garage sale. It was this really cool looking orange, brown, etc quasi-halter dress that poofed at the bottom. Megan looked amazing in it, of course. And even though we knew it would be cheating on Heather (one of Megan’s really good friends and a model/photog), she asked if I would take some photos of her in it. Heather had expressed the desire to shoot Meg in it, so it was a little scandalous that we did it. But Heather will get her chance. :) So we drove out to a field by the river and I snapped a few photos of her in the dress. They came out alright, though the lighting was not my favorite since it was the middle of the day and so stinking bright. But it was one of the fastest photoshoots in history, so we were pleased at our fast work. She looked darn good, though. :)
After the random spur of the moment shoot, we headed back and de-thorned ourselves (empty fields have lots of prickly things) and at that point, it was time to pick up Brian from the bowling alley.
We picked up Brian and proceeded to Cops Donuts; a police-themed donut place and burger joint. Here is where the fun begins…
Not only was it a fun themed restaurant, but we were met there by several other beautiful women; Megan’s roommates. It was almost illegal to be in the company of such beauties; but we were surrounded by cops, so I guess it was okay. Roommates Janelle and Melissa joined us; and later, Rebecca and Heather graced us with their presence. We had a good time schmoozing and dining on donuts. Although, the donuts were too doughy. We did get to shoot a scandalous interview with Janelle and “the hot cop” and Rebecca, our guest correspondent, gave us “the laws” of Cops Donuts. We also did some media networking, which was random as well.
After Cops, we headed back to the house so the ladies could make themselves beautiful; even though they are beautiful to begin with. After the hair and makeup session Brian and I, along with Rebecca and her husband-to-be, Matt, headed out to the rose garden by the state capitol. It was there that we had their “couples” photo session, along with their pooches, Espresso and Faith. It was a good session at a beautiful location. The girls joined us later for roommate photos, which we took as well.
When the photoshoot was done, I drove Brian back to the alley because it was determined that there was the slight possibility of him making the cut. But he was advised that there might be a bowl-off involved. So I dropped him off and headed back to the house, where Megs was dishing out the spaghetti. It was a fun time at the table with everyone. Halfway through dinner, I get a call from Brian to come and pick him up, so I head out to the Mardi Gras lanes.
Upon my arrival, I was advised that he had made the cut. He is the man. So he gets to bowl in the morning…and we will see what happens.
But we had a good night of watching a few of our NGS movies and schmoozing. We indulged in some blue raspberry beverages, which were quite good; kudos to our bartender, Matt. I also got attacked by dogs. There were four in the house; three little ones and one big one. Pedro is my favorite. After all, we both share that Latin lust which is the envy of all men, and the desire of all women. All in all, it was a great and wonderful, but random, day. I wish we had more time up here…it’s been way too much fun. But I’m glad that I hang out with Megs and her friends. Today was wonderful; it was the longest I’ve gotten to hang out with Megan for the longest time. And her friends are amazing, wonderful people. I don’t want to go to sleep.
But I’m going to. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. Maybe not as random, but definitely fun. More later!
