I wish I could say I didn’t blubber like an idiot; but I can’t. I did manage to hold it together in front of people, but I lost it a few times when I was by myself. I am really going to miss everyone (and I mean everyone) at Union. It was definitely a sad, but happy, day. You spend 9 hours a day with people for almost three years, there is bound to be some attachment. And that’s not easy to let go of, especially for a guy who doesn’t deal with change very well.
Everyone took me out for a nice lunch at 94th Aero Squadron and gave me cards and well-wishes. It made me realize how much these people really mean to me…and how much I will miss them.
Farewell, UBOC.
