This morning, she hopped on a plane with her brother and flew from Ohio to San Diego.
Tonight, she shared, sang, and blessed me and countless others. It was just her and a guitar…and it was awesome.
Worship tonight at Maranatha was really cool. Great message from Pastor Ray, awesome worship lead by the praise team, and of course an awesome time with Bethany Dillon. She is just too super-cool for words. Her voice is amazing, her guitar-playing as equally amazing (and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous)…but she’s just an amazing young woman, with an amazing talent and a love for God that just radiates from her. She shared a little in between her songs, which was really cool. Spoke to me in many ways. And her music was just awesome to listen to live. Halfway through her set, she stops and realizes she’s stuck her gum on the end of her guitar’s neck…and then proceeds to tell us about it. Gross, but endearing. I was hoping to meet her, since I was there early and got to listen to her sound check, but didn’t have a chance. Maybe next time. She did walk past me, though.
Now I know how other people feel when the walk past me…just inches away from greatness. :)
