…sorta sounds like a magician, doesn’t it? :) Well, there was a little bit of magic during Renee’s recital last night. In preperation for her studies abroad, my friend, Renee, gave a benefit recital at College Avenue Baptist last night…and it was amazing. Of course, Renee is an exceptionally talented accompanist (I know, because she played for my junior recital in college); but Renee is also a totally amazing vocalist as well. The whole recital was amazing…but my favorite had to be her jazz set. There was some scatting involved. :) But a good time was had.
Also, a congratulations for all the PLNU graduates yesterday. It’s sort of sad I didn’t get to go, but this class of 2005 has a significant meaning to me…not that the other classes weren’t more significant (I probably knew more people from other classes)…but the class of 2005 were all freshman during my last year at Point Loma. I knew very few freshman that year…but the ones I knew were classy and cool. Mature. Interesting. So congratulations to y’all.
Well, I’m out. More later!
The class of 2005 is significant for me as well, yet not for the same reason that you have, nor just for the fact that my roomy here in KC has a girlfriend graduating this week. I transferred to PLNU in the Fall of 2001 as a third-year yet second-semester sophmore. This year’s graduating class, hence, came to PLNU as freshmen at the same time that I came as a tranfer. Thus, I bear a similar timeline as they do–I almost see myself as the same class as them, even though my real graduating class should have been 2003 considering that I graduated 1 year ago (2004) as a fifth-year “Super-senior.” So, I send my kudos to last PLNU class whith which I will ever bear identity. My, how time flies.
I hope I’ll run into you next time I visit Cali.
w00t, class of ’05, that’s me.
yeah.
done.
+ degree.
