The other night, the boys of NGS, East got together for a good ‘ole fashioned meat and potatoes night. We grilled up some steaks, I made some smashed ‘taters, and we sat outside on our deck for hours, tossing back a couple cold ones and shootin’ the breeze. Good times.

During the course of the evening, I was posed an interesting question: who was my ideal girl? I thought for a few moments, sputtering out the same adjectives that have always come to mind in the past. But thinking about it more, I think my ideal girl has changed a bit. Only a little. I am finding things that would be more important in woman … things like being able to push me in ways, to encourage me to do things I normally wouldn’t do. More outgoing…adventurous. No longer do I go for the “cute, shy” type … although cuteness is important, I veer towards the cute, hot type; essentially, girls that are way out of my league (maybe that’s my problem, and why I am still single). I still am drawn to cute girls … but I think I am looking for a hot girl…the kind that doesn’t let on that she knows she’s hot. That’s a rare type, and the most attractive in my book.

I fell in love tonight. (I always say this, so I’m sure you’re used to it.) We took my grandma to Chili’s for her 87th birthday. We had a smashing time…and tons of food. :) But there was a girl sitting across the way … and I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. She had gorgeous brown hair, a golden complexion, and a great smile. But her best feature was this; she took HUGE bites of her food. There’s nothing like watching a petite, hot girl shovelling salad into her mouth. Ooooh, so sexy.

And you do realize I am kidding. Actually, it was cute…she sort of reminded me of Jen H., a friend from college I had a crush on. Not that Jen shared the same eating habits, but that she was cute.

I slept most of the day away todady, but the portion I was conscious for was gorgeous.

Today was sad, but good. I did my usual work … Cyndi made brownies … and everyone was pretty much in a good mood, despite the events that were going to take place. We all went out to lunch together to the 94th Aero Squadron – the whole department – and it was good to just spend time with everyone.

After getting back to the office and working on a few rush files, it was 3:00 … and our scheduled move began. It took me the rest of the day to move all my stuff over to my new desk. It’s going to take some getting used to, but I think it will be okay.

Change is bad.

Here are some visuals:

This is my old desk, with everything in boxes.

This is my old desk with nothing in it…empty. Just like new.

And this is my new home, all set up and ready to go on Monday.

Our temp and good guy to know, Drew, also said goodbye, as his term with us ended. He was cool.

As Brian gets ready for Hawaii, we shot a little bit of league play this evening. I’ll put some video together tomorrow.

Here’s to the end of a long day …
