Hello, one and all. Yes, it is late … but it isn’t as late as it has been. I have had a heck of a time getting to sleep at a decent hour, but hopefully things will get better now that I am wrapping up some projects. I have completed the DVD project for Bell [...]
Hello, one and all. Yes, it is late … but it isn’t as late as it has been. I have had a heck of a time getting to sleep at a decent hour, but hopefully things will get better now that I am wrapping up some projects. I have completed the DVD project for Bell Jr. High School’s Winter Concert. I am pleased with the results. As we speak, I am copying the DVD master. This was one of the first projects we used a separate digital recorder for the audio; and I have to admit that it was one of the smartest things we ever did. The audience was so loud and obnoxious, you could hardly hear the band. But with the external audio and microphone set up, things were crystal clear. Now, we start the reproduction phase.
I am putting the finishing touches on a website we did for The Bridal Concept. In one week, I designed, authored, and programmed the site including flash animation. It looks pretty darn good.
I have also been working the new site format for the Nice Guy Society. New features will include a more impressive photo gallery and blog. It’s really exciting.
It really has been a three ring circus around here, but I’m going to start taking it a little easier. I will begin work on the Madrigal Dinner 2005 shortly as well as Danny’s brother’s wedding this weekend. I’m also going to be in a performance on March 24th in Rancho Santa Fe at the Village Church; we are performing Sowerby’s Forsaken Of Man, which NGS media will be recording.
Well, I think my DVD is just about done burning, so I’ll talk to you later.
Whilst in England, Simone Finney sent me a post card…several, actually. One was a postcard from Trafalgar Square (inside Caedmon’s Call reference)…and the other was an Office Timetable chart. I try to follow this chart as best I can, which dictates that I show up for work 30 minutes after I’m supposed to be there…and [...]
Whilst in England, Simone Finney sent me a post card…several, actually. One was a postcard from Trafalgar Square (inside Caedmon’s Call reference)…and the other was an Office Timetable chart. I try to follow this chart as best I can, which dictates that I show up for work 30 minutes after I’m supposed to be there…and that I take an hour and 15 minute coffee break. The best part is the 60 minute tea break in the afternoon…followed by 30 minutes of preparing to go home…and then leaving 30 minutes early. Also gotta love the 2 hour and 45 minute time period the chart allocates for lunch.
Well, I took a spot of tea this afternoon…a warm, luscious Vanilla Caramel blend from Bigelow. Soothing, rich, robust…very tasty. You must give it a try.
Is it odd that I have been to the doctor’s twice in the last few weeks? That’s more than I have been in like the last ten years. There’s nothing serious, just the typical things…but seriously, what is it? Perhaps my hatred towards medicine and hospitals has kept me away (although that doesn’t explain my [...]
Is it odd that I have been to the doctor’s twice in the last few weeks? That’s more than I have been in like the last ten years. There’s nothing serious, just the typical things…but seriously, what is it? Perhaps my hatred towards medicine and hospitals has kept me away (although that doesn’t explain my love for ER). Perhaps I’ve never had a reason to until now because I was a healthy kid and now I’m a sick, old man.
Either way you look at it, don’t you ever feel like you’re a sandwich or something? I mean, they pull this little sheet of butcher paper for you to lay on…like this modern defense mechanism is supposed to keep you away from the germs lurking beneath from the hundreds of sick people that have come before you. So there’s me, on this butcher paper…and the only thing missing is the pickle.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been crazy-busy working on stuff. For instance, I will go to bed at 2:00 a.m. and then have to get up for work at 8. It’s a vicious cycle. The problem is that in the middle of the day, I get very tired … but at bed [...]
For the last couple of weeks, I have been crazy-busy working on stuff. For instance, I will go to bed at 2:00 a.m. and then have to get up for work at 8. It’s a vicious cycle. The problem is that in the middle of the day, I get very tired … but at bed time, I’m not tired at all. Like right now … I just can’t get to sleep. For the love.
Had a good time tonight hanging out with some friends … We met for dinner to celebrate Judi’s birthday at Buca di Beppo with a little Italian food. Good food, good wine, good company. Tiramisu to die for. Here are some pictures.
Well, I’m going to attempt to go to bed. Good night.
