So, all my life, I have been labeled the “Nice Guy.” Has it gotten me fame? Money? Well, it’s definitely hasn’t gotten me girls, that’s for sure. I’ve heard just about every classic line there is, even to the point of being complemented. Since when is being “too perfect” a bad thing? Apparently that’s not what girls are going for these days. I am too nice, too sweet, too perfect to date. Go figure.

And now, my boss is giving me the same line. Now, now, get your mind out of the gutter … she’s a married woman. No, seriously … mind … out of gutter. Apparently being nice has hindered my ability to be an effective worker, thus forcing my boss to mark me low (not terribly low, but low) on my semi-annual review. I still got my raise, but the fact that I was marked low irritates me. For being nice. I know where she’s coming from … but she is telling me that because I’m so nice and always want to help people out, I don’t meet my own deadlines. I agree with that to a certain extent. But I get my work done, I’m nice to the people I work with. I help everyone out. I guess I’m just too nice for my own good. The curse continues.
