You know, I don’t even care that it’s raining outside. I just don’t care. I don’t even care that I have to bring files home this weekend. You know why? Because today is Friday. Freakin’ Friday. And there ain’t nothin’ that can change the fact that this week is over and the weekend is here. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah!

This has been one of the longest, suckiest, and busiest weeks I’ve had in a long time. The sheer phenomenon of the entire week sucking is a huge concept to grasp…but believe me, the ENTIRE week sucked. I’ll share with you…For the first time, work was not the problem. On the contrary, the high volumes and “busy-ness” took my mind off of the chaos transpiring concurrently in other realms of my life. I had to take files home, work late hours, and was generally stressed for most of the days this week..but that was the good part. I had to drive way out to Rancho Santa Fe twice this week for choir rehearsal…and I didn’t mind that either because singing is fun.

What I DO mind, however…what goes on the very top of my pet peeve list…is really stupid people. This is not a slam on the helplessly ignorant, for they have no control over it. But people who claim to be intelligent, yet do not seem to convey that intelligence….why, that’s a whole other story.

Without mentioning names, a client we are working with on a web site has to be one of the most ignorant, self-centered, and ridiculously stupid people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It’s been a fun time trying to break land records to build her a decent website with the materials she’s provided for me. Everything from graphics, to text, to her hosting service has been a complete nightmare…and because she doesn’t know what the hell (yes, I said “hell”) she’s doing, I can’t do my job. And then she complains about the fact that I’m not doing my job, failing to realize that it is her fault things aren’t getting done…a real treat for me, whilst I’m jumping hoops and performing miracles to get it done, among the myriad of other things I am attempting to accomplish.

Enough said about that…if I think about it too much, I will lose my mind. Needless to say, if you are ever getting married, I can let you know of a bridal consultant NOT to go to. Brian and I have learned extremely valuable lessons along the way in our business venture, but none so significant and numerous than the ones we have learned this week. With our experience, we take with us a tougher shell, street-savvy common sense, and of course patience. Patience is a valuable tool when dealing with the galactically stupid.

But not all wedding-related things are evil. The very enterprise of marriage is an interesting one. I’m not opposed to it in anyway…in fact, I hope to engage in the act myself someday. But I couldn’t help this feeling of just general alone-ness as I was at a wedding this past weekend. I’ll get over it.

But it was fun to hang out and shoot Danny’s brother, Greg, and his new bride, Deann’s, wedding. The day was perfect, although a little overcast for my tastes. But the Marina Village was the perfect backdrop for a wedding. And there were beautiful bridesmaids, good food, and boats. But it was a lot of fun. It’s going to be a good video to put together. I’ll post some pictures when the Gallery is back up.

Oh, and that’s another irritation of mine…I inadvertantly deleted my entire gallery while trying to update it. Now, don’t worry…I have all the pictures…I just deleted them from the web. So if you encounter not so friendly links somewhere in my blog or anywhere else for that matter, shoot me an email and I’ll try to fix it. But I will be posting pictures soon.

Oh, and you should be interested in this little tid bit…a while back. NGS Productions had a movie called “Get Your Groove On” which featured us in miscellaneous, and embarrassing, dance clips. Danny, however, was the only one not dancing in the movie. He proclaimed that he would never be on video dancing. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are going to make him eat his words; for we have him on video dancing. I will be creating a masterpiece soon featuring Danny’s smooth, Travolta-esque moves.

Well that’s all, on to my weekend!
