Don’t worry…for those of you who are thinking PCP, as in the drug, I am okay. PHP is not a drug. For those of you in the know, it stands for Hypertext Preprocessor, which is, server-side, HTML embedded scripting language used to create dynamic Web pages. Dynamic means less work and more stuff you can do with your pages, so I’ve been slowly revamping NiceGuySociety.com and creating databases for all of our site information. It’s actually pretty cool, once I got the hang of it. I was getting errors up the butt and the pages weren’t looking the way I wanted them to look. But I have the databases running, the pages looking nice, and everything is right with the world. Check them out, if you have the time. I put in a lot of work.

Well, I am hungry, so I am going to bid you farewell for now. Aidos!

A few weeks ago, I sat down at my desk at home and to my surprise, found a little plastic Goofy standing on my computer monitor. “What a strange phenomenon!” I thought to myself. But, I gladly accepted him and made a little spot for him in the corner of my desk amongst many electronic gadgets. Now, I don’t know what transpired between last night when I left to go get dinner…because when I returned, I noticed that he had multiplied. Doubled. Goofy squared, if you will. So now there are two Goofys on my desk. I’m the richest boy in the world. Some people don’t even have ONE Goofy.

Well, back to work. Actually, in order to go BACK to work, one must have been working to begin with. And it is now 8:23…I’ve been at work for 23 minutes now and haven’t done a thing but check email. So I amend my previous statement…to work!

Are cell phones cool? Yeah. But I’m not sure about replacing the PC. Interesting stuff here, though.

June Gloom has set in…it’s so hard to be happy when the weather is so obviously sad. We have this theory going about Californians and New Yorkers. A buddy of mine at work is from the east coast and he reports that there are a lot of miserable-looking people out there. We surmise it’s because the weather is always crappy. However, there are more joyful, productive, beautiful people out in California…and we attribute that to all the sun we get out here. The sun: it’s not just the basis of our solar system or a star approximately 93 million miles away from us. It’s the reason for our very happiness out here. And I want it back.

On the flip side, looks like the NGS may be splitting up…so-to-speak. Brian has been offered a room in a house in Clairemont with some other friends and looks like he’s taking it. Would give us our own rooms, which would be really nice…but yet, something sad about the splitting of the NGS. I’m pretty much over it now. But doesn’t it make you all misty when you think about it?

I’m thinking about what kind of sandwich I’m going to have for lunch today. The tough decisions we make in corporate America today.

Well, I have to admit that I got a lot done this weekend so far…including some much needed sleep. I sure hope that the people at UBOC don’t mind my taking a weekend off. God forbid! I have been sick, though, so the rest is doing me good.

I got a lot done on the web site tonight, so I am about to call it quits for the evening (morning). I made some modifications to my main page to include recent journal posts. Should be pretty cool…as it automatically updates. PHP is really a great tool!

Got to hang out with the dudes too…my dad and my grandpa went out to an early dinner and hung about the house while my grandma was shopping with friends. Nice and relaxing.

Well, I thought that I would write something on my new Palm keyboard while my video is rendering…it might as well be my latest blog entry, right??

I am so glad that today is Friday. I seriously think that two-day work weeks are the toughest! Brian shipped off for Camarillo tonight for his bowling tourney this weekend. Thus, a new genre for NGS Media is born…the newscast. We are planning on developing and producing several news skits about nothing…the first is Brian’s trip to the pros. A rough production at best, it will give us some learning experience on what we can do. So, it was a good trial run.

Other than that, it’s been a quiet day and night. I will see you all later.

Brian is in his first official PBA tournament this weekend in Camarillo. Way to go Brian!! He’s name isn’t on the list because he registered late…but still…way to go!!

I went out and bought this album shortly after sharing her site with you all…it’s amazing. Sort of a cross between Michelle Branch, Norah Jones…but ALL Bethany Dillon. Her own style. Anyway, I have been listening to it non-stop…a very talented young lady. Her site just posted the lyrics and also features a few words on the meaning of each song from Bethany herself. Really cool!!

I think I am starting a trend…I seem to get sick around major holidays. When New Year’s rolled around, I was home with a cold. And now memorial day…when there are hotties at the beach and barbeque to be eaten, I was home asleep with a touch of the flu. Don’t get me wrong, I would much rather spend my time with a fever bowing down to the porcelain god then frolicking in the beautiful San Diego sunshine.

And how beautiful it was, too! Danny and I went on another fact finding mission to Solana Beach, since we had never really been there before. Good times…we drove the stretch of Hwy 101 between Del Mar and Carlsbad…we had pizza at Leucadia Pizza…and we even stopped at the beach for a bit. They were packed! The weather was just perfect beach weather too.

Today was perfect beach weather too. Except, I spent it sleeping. Not a whole lot of fun. And I’m feeling so terrible, that I thought I would take off work tomorrow too. Ick. I hate being sick. Well, I’m going to take some more medicine and get to bed. Good night.
