Today we celebrated my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. That’s a gosh-darn long time. I had a blast, shooting video and pictures and of course seeing relatives I haven’t seen in a long time…and relatives I’ve never even met. It was good to see my cousins Tara, Greg, and Barry…and my aunt Carolyn. And of course all the second and third cousins which are too numerous to name. Sometimes you forget how big your family is until you try and cram them all into one room. It was good to be surrounded by family. And I am starting to feel old. My “younger” cousins are no-so-young anymore. Tara, who just completed a year in Italy, is starting her junior year at Pepperdine University, my cousin Greg, who reminds me of his dad, just graduated high school last week, and Barry, my youngest cousin, even though he has a few more years of high school to go, it’s still pretty scary. 25 is old.

One thing I miss, though, is being around family. It’s hard, I will admit. It’s been very hard to cope with the void that’s left after a divorce. I get envious, jealous, sad, and all those other negative emotions when I see people with their families because I want that for myself. So it was really good to be with family today.

And on another note, I sincerely hope that one day I wil find a woman that can tolerate me sixty years.

Stay tuned for pictures later. Good night for now.
