I came home tonight after choir and was sort of bummed. I made it home just in time to catch the last 12 minutes of American Idol. I had been on the edge of my seat in anticipation of who would be cut tonight…and alas, it was my favorite…the cutie from Hawaii, Jasmine Trias. I think Fantasia and Diana are amazing too…it will be a hard call next week for the finale…but it was just so sad to see Jasmine go. That girl has so much potential and a beautiful voice. She could sing to me anytime. But that smile. For the love…I’m a sucker for girls with cute smiles. All you girls with cute smiles out there, write that down. It may come in handy down the road.
And speaking of singing, I think this is the first time I’ve mentioned that I’m in a choir. Finally… but only until Sunday. I’ve been singing for a few weeks with them; a special all male choir called the Villagemen at the Village Church in Rancho Santa Fe. After a long day at work, it’s nice to take the relaxing drive through the fancy-shmancy part of Del Mar and then sing for an hour and a half with a bunch of dudes. Fun times. Our concert is this Sunday night if anyone cares to go. It’s good to be singing again…it’s funny how you miss those little things in your life. I really had missed singing in a choir. I think I might find another singing outlet once this choir is over.
